FYI, there is no baiting in WA, its all spot and stalk. I call them in with a predator call however. Talk about a rush.

I kill a black bear every year, turn it into roasts, summer sausage, jerky, etc. I live in WA, and we have the most bears of all the lower 48. There is no shortage of bears and I will hunt them for as long as I can. Plus, the fur and skulls are awesome. I made a bear claw necklace out of last years bear, his back paw.

Why hunt for food when you buy some in your local butcher? They serve fresh, organic meat there. Yes, sometimes you do need to control the population, so that is a valid reason. You don’t need to kill the animals in your garden. Just get better fencing; it is your own problem. There is no need to kill the animal, it isn’t necessary.

There’s many reason to hunt if it’s just for fun then I disagree.
