Get up in a tree with a tree-stand
During the rut you can place Tinks #69 Doe in heat urine in small film canisters packed with cotton around your stand
Buy a good grunt call
Buy a good doe bleat
Buy Fox *** or Raccoon *** cover scent. Place around your stand and have a boot drag with the scent to help cover up your entrance
Use earth scent to spray on your camouflage
Camouflage
Get in the woods before daylight and/or out of the woods after dark.
READ and most of all do your homework.
Get out in the woods before season.Know when, where the deer move, sleep, eat, and drink.
It takes a lot of time

I assume rifle hunting? Wear blaze orange, get to your stand early and make no sound and keep the movements to a minimum. Dress so you keep warm, scent is not as big a deal as everyone seems to think it just depends on how far away they are and which way the wind is blowing. Bring some food and hot drinks out there and when you see one aim for the head, neck, or right behind the front shoulder. Keeping silent and still is the key, and make sure to bring your knife to field dress it, and for your sake DO NOT shoot it in the stomach it smells very bad when you are field dressing it.

When deer hunting always check which way the wind is blowing. The reason is so that the deer will not smell your scent on the air currents. If they do smell your scent they will turn around and leave or bed down. They might bed down and watch you for as long as you stay at your stand. Always place your stand down wind of the place where you expect to see deer.
If you hunt from a tree stand carry an empty plastic bottle with a good sealing type lid. When nature calls, just use the plastic bottle. It will save you a trip down the tree. You shouldn’t leave your scent around your stand area because the deer will smell it and they won’t come anywhere near your stand.
