Rhett’s one of the best singer/songwriters in country. Basically, he’s a victim of Nashville politics. The suits with pie charts prefer to put big money behind pretty pop singers like Taylor Swift. Rhett is one of many deemed “too country.” That means too real, too natural, too talented, and too Southern.
But he’s still touring and recording. Brooks Dunn recorded his Put A Girl In It, and Rhett sells his own albums on his website. Kiss My Country *** is the new outlaw country anthem!
