i would defintly have not the smaller one it was a young 8 pointer you have to let them ones go… i understand for your first deer.. but you have got to have some kind of deer manegment.

He, he! We hunt in Creston! They get big here, after we quartered that 13 pointer, i got 150 lbs of meat out of him. Good luck man!

Where in Southern IA are you? I am headed up that way in two weeks to hunt near Council Bluffs – I am pretty stoked to see some real deer instead of these dogs with antlers down here in FL

it is what it is my friend. not every buck is a trophy. iowa has some great bucks all over the place. today i got some footage of 2 big bucks in the same area, plus Nov 15 video shows one more big one. i’m sure people know what kind of trophies iowa holds, and they will not be scared by one mediocre harvest!

umm i hunt deer in iowa and that deer gives iowa a bad name

yes my friend shot that 8. the buck started to take off and he just took a shot… not perfect, but the buck ran for 50 yards only. i was kind of surprised that it died so fast.
