just looked at the vid, good work kid, well done, any1 that uses a bow 2 hunt is ok in my books. been doing 4 6 years in Australia now and its way harder than shooting a deer at over 100 yards with a gun!!!!! good work kid and if ever u in Australia let me no and we can hit the scrub after some buff or big ass pig, deer 2 if u want. great stuff

and how much you want the meat also. you can get a slug in where it wont mess up to much good meat but the best shots will mess up a little meat.

I am not debating speed or damage…I am talking lethal…and to say a bow is way less lethal is a false statement. I broadhead will cut clean, resulting in a deer bleeding out faster, a slug leaves a rough mess, but still gets the job done. It’s all about shot placement.

uhm, that’s dumb. A 12 guage slug, especially a hollowpoint does more damage than a broadhead. If you think any different your an idiot. that arrow flies at most 200 fps, a slug flies at 1600 fps. I’m pretty sure the slug would win there.

He said he doesn’t feel comfortable shooting that poundage or distance…and I HIGHLY DOUBT that you can shoot consistant at 70 yards, put down the pipe. This 14 yr. old has more common sense than all of you idiots.

FYI, unless your using a high powered rifle, a bow will kill a deer faster if hit in the lungs than a 12ga slug will (Illinois only allows shotgun) 99% of the deer I shoot with my bow die within eye sight 50-100 yards.

duh, im 14 not to many 14 year olds are shootin 70 pounds even with 65 % let off to get the break whare the let off begins is whare i struggle i can shoot 60 comfortably but thats all

ha less kinetic energy??? a arrow will pass completely through a bullet proof vest a bullet will not all the energy from the arrow and 70 pounds behind the bow goes straight to the entry point

no u don’t. The Deer I shot this year ran 20 yards and died.

actually around where i live there is more bow hunters than gun. I choose not to bow hunt because of this low kill rate, there isn’t enough kinetic energy from that arrow to do enough damage for that quick kill. A bullet is much different, people say gun hunters are just lazy hunters, I say we are smart hunters. A bullet will take an arrow any day of the week in any situation, and arrow just can’t make a quick kill. You usually wait 2-4 hours on a heart shot with an arrow to retrieve.notwithagun

Well glazlad bowhunting is a form of hunting that takes more skills than any other form and if your not skilled enough then you can make pour shots causing slow deaths but archers like my self shoot 1000 arrows a week to ensure my skills are still at the top, i am not a unskilled neanderthal, i am skilled and i qould never shoot a deer to injure it, and lazy? There is twice as much work bowhunting than gun thats why there are less bowhunters than gun.

Bowhunting is illegal in most of Europe as it has a very high failure to retrieve the injured deer rate. It rarely kills clean and quick! Bowhunting is the choice of the lazy unskilled neanderthal hunters!
