@jonclary78 Those are people who are trying to make a $, simple as that. I’ve harvested a over a hundred hogs and can say I never paid a penny! I never will either. These are pests and I wont pay to kill a pest!

If hogs present such a huge problem, why does it cost so much for a hunter to shoot one? All these farmers and land owners complain about all the damage the hogs cause but at the same time want 400 to 500 dollars a pig to kill. Sounds like their doing just fine to me.

@dnahoghunter Dude they are spreading across the U.S. faster than we can kill them. They are hella invasive to farm land and trust me they taste like **** we shoot them like varmints dude.

@dnahoghunter well you seem like a good guy and good hunter, theres no hogs up in Canada where i live at least, but i could imagine how much hunting em and eating would be. ill just have to stick to deer, grouse and hare until they make there way up. You got my sub keep on doing what your doing.

@Syrius187 I eat everything I harvest! To mee that sounds backwards. If you hit the brain, its gone and that hog cant do a thing. Shoot it in the heart, its hurt and running scared and will have adrenaline all thru the meat. Thats when I feel they taste gamey.

Just cuirous… Ive always wanted to hog hunt… do you eat the ones you kill?
Also, ive heard it was bad to shoot them in the head due to chemicals ruining the meat released from the brain?

@ogrishtm
They cause far more damage to society than we do to them; they truly are a nuisance. Believe me; they don’t come ANYWHERE close to being defenseless.

@ogrishtm Go out try to even get close to a wild hog once, you’ll see just how defenceless they are, right,quick in a hurry like. Wild animals have alot more advantages goin for them than what ya might think.

@ogrishtm They are an invasive species, not natural to the area, they eat turkey and quial eggs for starters, breed like rats. They get to the subburbs and cities and root flower beds, lawns and sprinkler systems. If its a good herd, your pet may get killed, or a child. In the country they root up farmers fields, seeds and crops. These are total losses. They cant be replanted till the following year. They root out damns and empty ponds as a result. want more??? OH, they have knives for teeth!
