Way too much talking and not enough hunting.

It isn’t hunting season yet. These are deer we are filming right now – like last week. We produce the show a day before we post it with all fresh footage each week.

I hear ya. Actually my “Bad”. I understand the concept. Why not blend in B-roll hunt footage of last years attempts at this animal or others similar. Just to bring in the hunting side of things. Just contructive criticism. Don’t mean a thing by it. 90% of viewers want huntin’. So many shows are filled with so much sponsor crap you get two minutes of hunt and 21 min of sponsor. I do love the concept of what your doing here. I don’t mean to offend, cause I gaurantee my stuff needs alotta work!

We tried to do that when we could, but in most cases, this is the first time we have filmed these deer. We are pretty green at this and don’t have footage from last year. This is our first year filming, lots of cameras and guys in trees so by this time next year we will have tons of fall stuff. For now, we have to be content in creating the storyline of the bucks we hope to get on this fall then see how we do hunting them.

Well heck that makes perfect sense! I completely understand. Well to be green at it ya do a pretty darn good job. What your doing now will be rivaled 500% next year after you get b-roll and history footage. I gaurantee I love the concept. You could actually run alot of directions with it. Are all of these bucks free-range animals?

All free range. Most are in our backyards which affords us the chance to develop these season-long storylines. I am with you. We just need to execute the plan and then see where it leads. It was literally two months ago (July 4) that the idea hit me and we have put this together since. We are doing all the editing in-house. I built computers ordered cameras, put the team together, got the sponsors – a whirlwind two months. I really appreciate the sponsors for taking a chance on this.

Sheeezzzuuuusssss! From someone from and in the industry I completely understand what kind of undertaking you have just accomplished in two months. I sincerely have to give you a great big “attaboy” on that one! Well if you ever need a camera guy give me a holler. I shoot on large broadcast capable equipment and have over 100 archery kills through my lenses. Waterfowls my specialty but I love to film bowhunts.

Freddy, I may do that. The one big weakness we have is the camera guys. Great farms, great bucks, great hunters (for the most part) but very green camera guys. I am not running high end stuff: GL2s and XHA1. More than acceptable for web broadcast. I don’t want to put my e-mail address out here, but I will contact you in time. Where are you located?

I understand how hard it is to get your good shots on video,I had some good video last year (2008) with getting bucks in velvet but as soon as season came in i never seen anything hardly,had to move to the corn here in Indiana!
