ive never hunted public land how do you go about doing that do you just need your license or is their some sort of permit you need

yea i love huntin around these parts espically in that good ol timber im probably 30 min away from the cache river and thats to far lol

Only thing better is taking a wrong turn into a dead end cove at 30mph only to realize the channel “is over there”!

It’s funny how the trees and water all look the same in the dark! I mean where’s that tree with the branch….you know the one that marks our hole! Damn, they all look like “that” tree! Gettin lost in the dark is no fun, but hey it’s part of the experience, right?

You definatly got to no your ways around the timber. Ha its 10 times worse at night.

there’s nothing quite like running 30 miles an hour down that twisty son of a ***** at 5 in the morning! makes me smile just thinkin about it!

BisonPlayer69 is right. The yellow markers are only there to assist with getting back to the boat ramp once you come to the spot off the main channel. Once you’re out there, you’re out there. It pays to do some off-season scouting. GPS doesn’t hurt either althought I’m a po-boy and just do it the old fashion way!

you just gotta know where you’re going when you get in the backwoods. Easy to get turned around in there, and no the yellow markers aren’t necessarily telling you where to go.

just wondering how you find your way in and out of there , is it by the yellow markers on the trees.

It was hit and miss…some days we had birds everywhere; other days we were lucky to see a black bird. Not the best year I’ve seen there!! Can’t wait for next season though. Haven’t done much hunting passed the privates, plan to do some scouting down there this year!

You know your stuff!!! I was searching before the season and didn’t see anything for the cache river in Ark., so I said what the hell!!

cool video…..it was taken at Float road and it looks like yall were huntin at the memphis hole. you even have a pic of a blind that i hunt every once in a while. I am from there and hunted it since i was little and i thought it was pretty cool that there was a video of float road on youtube.

no problem and yea i it did get pretty slow tho but i’ll tell ya a good spot of didnt know it already at bayou meto is buckenham flats its a pretty long walk but its worth it we limited out on greenheads one mornin
