Great video…they sound great…I have been experimenting with different thickness’ of wood and was wondering what thickness you prefer. Thanks.

@hwl1997 the wood is black walnut. most of my 2 sided calls are walnut and some other wood

right after uou said “dollar 99 for a box” about sidewalk chalk, what kind of wood was that on the box? it sounded the best out of all of them.

Nice video. The back walnut sounded great. For you hunters watching, blue carpenter’s chalk works best. Regular chalk will still get you a turkey. I use to make magahony sided and black walnut frame and paddle box calls as a hobby. A good call will last you a lifetime. Thanks again for your time making this video. I hunted with an 82 year old man who used a homemade call he made in 1937.
