i prefer wrist strap for all archery shooting. it’s how i started and it’s very natural to me. plus it’s killed several deer and alot of rabbits in my back yard so i’m not complaining(:

@Fisherguy28 i would say in general – wrist for hunting, hand for target shooting (like fita). the like they “surprising release”, hunters want a “schoot…NOW” release
i shoot both with a wrist release (field targets, 50m).

but please dont compare a 20$ wrist relase with a 100$ hand release.

I’ve tried using release’s, I prefer to use jsut my finger’s. I find it more satisfying. otherwise you might as well just shoot a gun. lol but thats my personal opinion.

there arent any specific release aids for beginners, but i like my tru ball release and i only started a few months ago.

Are there any brand names for release aids for beginners. I’d like to hunt but I need all the basic info a lots of practice before killing an animal humanely.
