Sorry man, i’m an ignorant on hunting, but (like as i do in videogames) : WHY DON’T YOU SHOT HIM IN HIS HEAD ??In this metod he can’t escape and you must not search for him later.

if its not sport and more an extermination thing as some (americans?)have said, then why not kill it as painlessly as possible. i aint no gunhead but some sort o shotgun?

@freemanbrook You are right about them damaging our ecosystem…Rules and Regulations is whats keeping the hunters from controlling these pigs. It was all under control for hundreds of years prior to the illegal overthrow of our Kingdom. Maybe it isn’t the pua’a that needs to be eradicated.

@wotaised Sure, and they are an invasive species which have become vastly overpopulated and are damaging the ecosystem in Hawaii today. If you really want to keep them, do a 90-95% extermination, or make a policy of killing all pigs found in the wild keeping only those on farms.

@freemanbrook …Pigs or Pua’a in our language have been in our Hawaiian culture for over a 1000 years..it was brought here by the first Hawaiian/Polynesian settlers.

Speaking of fucking stupid: Do you realize that hogs aren’t native in Hawaii, and they damage native wildlife? They destroy sea turtle nests on the Georgia coast, alligator nests, and ground nesting birds.

This is extermination. As in killing a pest. Sportsmanship has nothing to do with it. Eliminating the pest does.

@blackwaterhackles What are humans supposed to do, strip ***** and run on all four, attacking the beasts like we’re beasts? Hogs have tusks, bears have claws, and humans have brains. We’re intelligent enough to bait and hide, and that is no different than any other animal hunting with its assets. Aside from that, quite a few predators in the animal kingdom lure prey in using scents or lights, etc, then attack from above. Why should humans be no different?

They’re also pests. There are more of these things then the region is supposed to be able to handle. The problem is bad enough in some places that they give out ammunition for free to remove them.

very nice shot.. I am surprised the boar didn’t scream or make any noise. I am thinking about getting the same bow from walmart. I live in canada so we dont have these but there is other big game out here
