Home defense? For gods sake put a light on it so your not shooting your loved one in a dark room.

I was wondering though, I shoot lefty and from what I can tell, the TacStar 6 round holder seems to partially block the left side of the trigger guard and trigger. Is that the case and if so, do you have any suggestions for other round holders that go on say the stock (even with the recoil reduced stock) ? THANKS

@chuckiep268 : Thanks! Still have’nt tried the extension on, guess I’ll do it tomorrow. If it looks to damn ugly I’ll either cut it or get a really long choke tube…

@thahchad1987 : I think you should start out with a ‘simple’ fiberoptic bead sight. It’s simple, gives you good accuracy, it’s dependable and most of all, you’ll learn to shoot ‘the real way’… Go simple when it comes to sights!

I have a question for You Chuckie, I purchased a remington 870 express synthetic, and it’s a 8 shot.7 +1 according to the manual and the store managers. The barrel is 20 inch’s. This is my FIRST OWNED gun, still pending to be picked up after the 10 day period. I’m an E.M.T. so I have no experience with fire arms, only shot a few rifles and shotguns in the passed. So you don’t recommend a red dot? and what else should i do to it?

@Mwatkins92 No this one is from Remington. But they do have some cool looking ones out there just google breacher chokes.

do they have that kind of choke for a mossberg 500?

@ScandinavianShooter Its not a safety issue. Over time the muzzle flash will wear the finish. But I have seen new shotguns come with the mag forward a little.

Got a mag extension for my Winchester, I basically got it for free, haven’t tried it on yet so I don’t know how many extra shells it will hold. The thing is that the extension extends about 1.5-2″ beyond the muzzle… (Haven’t measured). Is this a problem? Despite making the gun look kinda ugly? Any safty issues? Keep or cut weld?

@TheSacredKier It depends on the model. They can go from anywhere from 3 to 5 hundred. Shop around is the best I can tell you.

That is one **** shotgun! What is a good price to buy an 870? Next pay check I plan on buying a SA-XD 45acp. And an 870.

@Unsharpened I have shot clays with it. and though it looks silly I only missed 2 because I didn’t chamber a round and the other I didn’t remove the safety. I out shot everyone else. So I would say yeah it works.

@chuckiep268 Here in ohio it’s a total of 3 ( 2 in the tube one in the chamber). Be easier to hunt with a diffrent gun. So what about skeet shooting(Clay Targets)?

@Unsharpened Yeah it’s very simple. But check your hunting laws we can’t have more then 2 rounds in the mag.

I have this shotgun. Would it be possible to change out barrels for skeet shooting and hunting or is it not that simple?
