Hunting Fun

Hey guys, I’m 15 and I’m looking at this for my first shotgun. I was going to get either the 870 Express, Mossberg 500 or something like that. The more popular guns. Then I was going to get a single shot HR Pardner for fun. The guy in the store said I’d be better off getting one of these. He loved the way it looked and said as far as he knew is far better than the previous. Its going to be a hunting/fun gun not really home defense but could i get away with it for home defense? Thanks guys!

Awesome Gun! I’ve fired well over 1000 shells with it and had no problems @ all! Wish there were more accesories for it, but that’s not Remingtons fault. All my buddies are looking to get one because of mine!

It is balanced well, shoulders well, swings well, and absorbs a ton or recoil. I think it’s a dream to shoot. Of coarse these are my opinions but I’m sure others feel the same way. It’s a steal of a price for a great reliable shotgun.

I’m not understanding why people say this gun jams. Do you guys know how to properly cycle a pump shotgun? Because if you do you’ll find that this firearm NEVER jams. It has aong stroke to enable the usage of 3 1/2″ shells. So it needs to be cycled all the way back and then all the way foraward. It also needs to be done quickly and with steady force just like any firearm. The slow and light pumping action makes any firearm suseptable to jamming.

i have always been loyal to remington.i shoot left handed, remington does not cater to left handed shooters.All you can find in lefty shotguns is the 870.good luck finding a NEW left handed automatic.winchester,browning,benelli all cater to left handed shooters…remington,not impressed with so called americas oldest gun manufacture. GET YOUR $HIT TOGETHER

remington is way better quality than the supernova ur just payin for the looks of the gun

I can’t decide between the supernova or the, I’m a Remington guy, but the Super nova comes with more stuff I’ve heard good things about both guns but I want reliability over anything.

The SupeNova comes with 3 chokes, 5yr warranty, shim kit for the perfect fit, comfort tech stock, feels and appears to be better made. The 887 is Remingtons wanna be SuperNova……? Remingtons express line makes the 887 look bad.

@fike301 the super nova is also 100 dollars more and do you own both guns? i do and i think that they both shoot fine…i mean both guns are pump and both guns shoot the same shells so what real difference is there that would make one far superior to the other?

i have a Super Nova and a 887 nitro, they are very close in comparison . The 887 is lighter, and never jams . I love both of these guns.

Compare this gun side by side to a Benelli Super Nova…..the 887 Nitro is not even in the running.

I was lookin closely at one in Cabelas. I think its …um different. The design looks like its from Star Trek or something. I must admit it felt good when I shouldered it and the price very reasonable. I see too many mixed reviews around now tho. I’ll wait. BTW the clerk said he wouldnt recommend choosing this gun over the Supernova despite the price

I’v got 887 already…mistake!
Two hunting, two time jammed, Once I totally streap on field (and this NOT easy like 870)…Second time I hit greep to wood…I’ts work…
Shooting and handlig good, but not relaible gun…Going to change to BENELLY Super Nova…

i want to know how this gun fits, how does it fit in relation to an 870 express?
