@mawadg Well it is becoming harder and harder as you can guess,now you have to have an export license from NZ police and whoever is getting it should have an import license for the ammos.It has to be send on special shipping parcel and handled by a registered cargo agent.Now if it is in local i mean N.Z. then your gun shop can arrange that for you,Hope all that was helpful mate.

guys, you know alot about ammunition. how can i send ammunitions oversease?

@anavidhunter Yes mate,it is the one behind the gun,be it shotgun or rifle or bow and arrow,Talking a bout bow hunting i just watched you last video of bear hunt it was awesome,i had to go to the dentist to adjust my upper plate,and the wife was waiting for me to drive me there and was saying hurry up boy,but i had to watch your video right to the end,well done mate.

@waikarimoana We stop shooting lead shot for waterfowl over 15 yrs ago…I think since 1995 had to shoot steel. We have other choices we can use…like: Bismuth and Tungsten…but they are more expensive than steel so most people use steel.
I find steel works ok…it does fly and impact different tho. I think many people like to use 3 inch or better shells…but I can tell you first hand that I’ve been out shot by a guy with a 20 gauge, so the “hunter” is most important.

@anavidhunter Yes mate dead right,1187 takes 3 inch shells and steel shots,in NZ it has been few years that all waterfowl be shot with steel,some like it and some don’t and the argument or better said (discussion)can go on for ever.My son is a top shot gun man and he loves his REM.870,but i can’t use it as i shoot the first shot i fail to pump and chamber the second and all the time he shots”pup it up pap pump it up” and to no avail.HAHAHa as they say mate it is hard to teach an old dog.

My cousin shoots an 870 wingmaster, and your 1187 is a modern version of my 1100 auto…yours has a vented rib and shoots larger shells…mine only chambers 2 3/4 inch shells…but I still like it…though I’d love to get a 3 or 3 1/2 inch gun too.

@anavidhunter Good day Kyle,yes she is awesome she has survived 3 seasons and we pray for her to come back again.She fights with any ducks that come close to her duckings and she feed very little herself.About the guns well mate,Remington is the one for us my son shots Remington 870 express magnum and me and Ross shot with one gun and that is Remington 1187 nice gun all auto and we still miss most of them.HAHAHa,Beat regards Tony.

Thats a pretty awesome haul you guys got there…harvest of champions.
Interesting that you cull anything that may prey on your hatchlings…pretty smart…I’ve not heard of that before.
2 of the last 3 years we have had Mallards Mate and hatch their ducklings at the ponds in our Open Face Mine at work…and day after day the numbers would go down from predators.
