PA, is the best hunting state ive ever hunted i live here and hunted here all my life each year my dad brothers and i fill our tags
When i go hunting in rifle season i see about 200 deer, and in muzzle loader and bow season over 300
And shooting doe like that isnt harming the population at all because there are so many freakin do in PA, it just keeps the bigger buck from starving because the doe eat first and all the nutrition that big buck need keep it up Leatherwood

@Leatherwoodoutdoors You have to understand that Pa IS a hunting destination. Just not a big buck destination state. The chances of hunters filling tags in pa is better than anywhere else by a state to state look.

@CrazedWhitetail15 We fully know that. But since you dont know what we are trying to achieve on our proptery you cant say that taking does is bad. We have an over abundance and many do not get bred. you can shoot half your doe and the following year you will be back where you started. I wouldnt want to hunt anywhere else. Plus Pennsylvania had more hunters than anywhere in the country. It used to be known as the numbers state for hunters and deer herd, when shoot anything was normal.

well, you guys gotta lay off the does a bit. Remember, the rut has already come and they’re bred already so there the ones having the babies. Just a word of advice. And you shouldnt shoot more deer than you need to in one season, Thats why PA isn’t really a hunting destination anymore. Some People shoot anything they see there.

Wow i can’t even get my brand new flint lock to fire at a deer. The gun didn’t go of twice in the same day but it later fired. I’m also from pa what wmu are you hunting in

I didn’t think muzzleloading pistols were legal in the late season, only long guns.

Glad you tagged out John. Thank God for the little bit of snow we got this season. Hard to believe that deer went as far as it did with that kind of hit . Oh well…. great vid as usual .

@NYGMENfan1 ?? i thought it was legal to use big bore here, i remember reading some place as long as the bore was larger than .45 you could use it for big game, and on page 18 of our hunting and trapping book that we get when we buy our license it has the info….. does not say that is is legal or illegal though…… i guess its up to how you interpret the bilaws……. i wish our state would get their head out of their ***.. at least our archery season starts oct.1st this year

i was up in pa flintlock hunting after xmas and i was chasing a monster whitetail buck and a young buck

Icic I’m from 4a and didn’t even see enough deer too fill 2 tags seen 7the first day and 1the 4th day thats not good

@1gamoguy I wish new york legalized big bore airguns for deer hunting.I have a .58 caliber airgun but as of now it’s for fun.I KNOW it will easily take deer as it produces about 700 FPE depending on bullets i use.I tried the casting thing myself but found it easier to just buy them but i did have good results.

@NYGMENfan1 now that sounds like fun, ive been watching and reading about the big bore air rifles, its stunning how far they have come over the past 10 years, there is a channel on YT i cant remember the name off hand, but he casts his own bullets for his air rifles and uses them for boar, and deer hunting, and they get the job done the same as a centerfire equivalent would

@1gamoguy Yea i noticed that in my property and other’s.I use airguns for my coyotes not daisy’s but .22 and .25 caliber high end airguns.My farm dogs get one once in a while.



@NYGMENfan1 again absolutely true! and its always nice to meet a fellow NY hunter, it seems as the seasons go by we are getting more and more doe than bucks, however since the end of our season, and getting on the property to do some coyote hunting we have seen 3 nice bucks, with 5 doe…. so hopefully next season turns out better than this one
