Quail hunting has long been a tradition in the south and Great Southern Outdoors Wildlife Plantation in Union Springs, Alabama is the perfect location to participate in a quality hunt . You arrive at the plantation the afternoon before your first morning hunt, check into your room, and meet the other gentlemen that will be joining you for the next few days. Your group will dine on a delicious meal that evening, and sit around the lodge talking about the next day’s hunt. The next morning you will have breakfast, gather your hunting gear together and load up to go to the quail field. There in the field you will meet your field guide and dog handler, waiting with wagons and dogs. After making sure you have everything you need, your guide will release two of the finest dogs you have ever laid eyes on. As soon as your guide releases the dogs they work through the long fields of brush and pines. Your guide will consciously conduct the dogs with a sharp blow of his whistle.
