Hunting Red deer for meat in winter in the central North Island of New Zealand.All the young are weened and feeding on grass,so some of the hinds can be taken for meat.A barren hind was harvested and all the meat was carried out and not a scrap of it was left for the boars,only skin and bone,nothing else.Safe hunting.
